Are you familiar with the Algarve Integrated Response Center (CRI)?


At Werk Room, we believe that everyone deserves access to information, support, and healthcare in a respectful, stigma-free, and judgment-free environment. That's why we want to share an important resource for our community: the Algarve Integrated Response Center (CRI), which offers specialized consultations and support in the area of ​​addictive behaviors and dependencies.


💬 In what situations can you seek support?

The CRI offers multidisciplinary consultations, both in-person and online, for young people, adults, and families, in situations related to:

🍷 Alcohol and other substance use: support for people who feel that consumption is affecting their health, relationships, work, or daily life.

🎰 Problem gambling: support when gambling begins to take up too much space in life, causes financial difficulties, or affects emotional well-being and personal relationships.

📱 Problematic Internet Use: Support in situations where internet use interferes with other areas of life and becomes difficult to manage.

🤝 Addictive Behaviors and Dependencies: Monitoring by multidisciplinary teams, taking into account the needs of each person.

🌱 Asking for help doesn't mean failing. It means recognizing that you deserve to feel better.


We know that sometimes the fear of judgment, shame, or difficulty talking about certain issues can make seeking help more complicated. But you don't need to wait for a situation to worsen to ask for support, nor do you need to have all the answers before taking the first step.


If you are going through a difficult situation, have doubts about your consumption or behaviors, or are worried about someone you care about, you can seek information and guidance from these services.


📍 WHERE TO FIND THE CRI OF THE ALGARVE?

According to the information leaflet, there are services and teams with different responses in the region:

Faro: GABAE — Youth and Community Support Office, aimed at adolescents and young people aged 12 to 24 and their families; prevention and treatment consultations.

PortimĂŁo: prevention consultations and specialized technical treatment team.

OlhĂŁo: specialized technical treatment team.

Tavira: decentralized consultation with the treatment team.

Santo AntĂ´nio: decentralized consultation with the treatment team.

Albufeira: specialized technical treatment team.
