This Saturday, March 28th at 5PM, we warmly invite everyone to the opening of Portais at Werk Room — Rua do Compromisso 72, Faro.
The exhibition will be on view from March 28th to June 13th.
Susana Branco is a self-taught artist whose practice emerges from a deep need for expression and self-knowledge. She found in painting the space that words could not fill — a territory where emotion, intuition, and matter meet to shape the invisible.
Through abstraction, she explores the language of color and gesture as a process of inner transmutation. Each work is born from attentive listening and release: layers of paint become layers of lived experience. For the artist, painting is a ritual of healing, transformation, and reconnection.
Without formal academic training in visual arts, her path is guided by authenticity and embodied sensitivity. Her canvases become emotional cartographies — portals through which the abstract reveals what is essential.
