Halloween Horror Movie Weekend

🎃🖤 HALLOWEEN HORROR MOVIE WEEKEND 🖤🎃

🎬 Hosted by Mr X

👁️ Three chilling afternoons. Three films. Monsters, hidden identities, and realities that may not be what they seem…

Get into the Halloween spirit and join the Werk Room community for a weekend where queer cinema meets the darker side of the seventh art. 🕸️

Let's revisit horror stories, explore their metaphors and hidden messages, and discover what our monsters say about us.

🩸 OCTOBER 30 | What if your best friend saw what you can't see?

🐾 Special session in partnership with @animalrescuealgarve — Animal Rescue Algarve!

When Todd moves into an old family home with Indy, his loyal four-legged companion, something strange begins to happen. While Todd ignores the signs, Indy detects supernatural presences lurking in the shadows. How far can loyalty go to protect those we love?

A horror film told through the eyes of a dog, where fear meets courage, love, and loyalty. 💛

🐶 In this special screening, we'll have some of the adorable furry friends from ARA joining us to watch the film—and who knows, maybe win a heart forever!

🕯️ OCTOBER 31 | A NIGHT AT THE CASTLE OF TRANSGRESSIONS

🚪 A storm, a broken-down car, and a mysterious castle where nothing is quite what it seems…

Brad and Janet seek shelter in the castle of the eccentric Dr. Frank-N-Furter, embarking on an adventure as strange as it is provocative.

Starring the unforgettable Tim Curry, this unmissable classic of queer cinema challenges conventions, celebrates difference, and transforms horror into a feast of freedom, transgression, and individual expression. 💋

Are you ready to discover the horrors—or wonders—that lurk within this castle?

🌀 NOVEMBER 1 | WHAT IF REALITY WERE AN ILLUSION?

📺 Owen is a teenager lost in the monotony of the suburbs when Maddy introduces him to The Pink Opaque, a mysterious television series that begins to transform his perception of reality.

Among supernatural creatures, hidden worlds, and identities to be discovered, Owen begins to question everything he believed in—including who he really is.

In this work by Jane Schoenbrun, terror hides on the screen, in the identities we try to conceal, and in the worlds where we dream of existing. What if the real horror was spending an entire life without discovering who we are? 🌙

🎞️ Films subtitled in Portuguese.

🖤 MORE THAN CINEMA, A COLLECTIVE EXPERIENCE!

🍿 Bring snacks to share with everyone.

💬 At the end of each session, there will be time for discussion, reflection, and sharing.

🏳️‍🌈 A safe space to watch, think, feel, and talk in community.
